Workshop Expression of Interest

Picture My Grief is a creative photography initiative exploring grief, loss and significant life change through photography.

I am currently seeking expressions of interest for a free pilot workshop in the Stroud and Gloucester area. The pilot will help shape future Picture My Grief workshops and support funding applications aimed at making future workshops accessible to as many people as possible.

This workshop is open to anyone grieving the death of someone important to them, whether that loss was recent or many years ago. Through photography, reflection and gentle discussion, participants will be invited to explore memories, emotions and personal experiences in a supportive and creative environment.

No photography experience is required. Participants may use a phone, camera or existing photographs as part of the process.

There will also be opportunities to explore personal archives, including family photographs, letters, documents and other meaningful materials connected to the person being remembered.

Participants may choose to contribute photographs or creative work to future Picture My Grief exhibitions, publications and awareness-raising activities, either anonymously or by name.

This workshop is currently in development and forms part of an initial pilot programme designed to test and refine the approach. Participation in the pilot workshop will be free of charge.

Commissioning, Funding & Access

Picture My Grief is committed to making creative opportunities around grief, loss and remembrance as accessible as possible.

Workshops and creative projects are delivered through a combination of participant fees, commissions, partnerships and external funding. My aim is to secure funding that enables free or subsidised access for participants wherever possible.

Projects may be delivered directly to the public, commissioned by organisations, or developed in partnership with charities, community groups, arts organisations, bereavement services and healthcare providers.

Alongside public workshops, I also offer bespoke workshops, one-to-one creative sessions, Remembrance Projects, and commissioned programmes tailored to the needs of organisations and communities.
